The Truth about Deepak Chopra and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

20080213maharishianddeepak3 I ran into this article, written by Deepak Chopra about his relationship with Maharishi and subsequent fallout from the TM movement. It's called "The Maharishi Years- The Untold Story: Recollections of a former Disciple"

Highlights from the Article:

  • Apparently Maharishi was poisoned and momentarily died, only to recover thanks to a blood transfusion from Deepak
  • Maharishi later felt that Deepak sought adulation for himself and confronted him by saying "People are telling me that you are competing with me."
  • When they parted, Maharishi told Deepak, "Whatever you do will be the right decision for you. I will love you, but I will also be indifferent to you from now on."

You can read the entire article here

I would feel more comfortable hearing the "truth" from Maharishi himself, not so much from an internet website. It is nice to hear others opinions but what does this blog prove. Who is this blog attempting to help?
